January 24th 2008 Website is up and running!

We want to give special thanks to Denise Tjon Ket Tjong for helping us with the technical related issues.

On December 2007, many women responded to the call for help to develop a website for the Women in EECS. After having a very productive meeting, we distributed tasks to everyone. Tasks included researching information, writing the content of some of the sections, designing the website and logo, and others. We are fortunate to have artistically gifted women among us. The beautiful design of the website and logo is the result of the creativity of our dear Ruba Amarin.

Our goal was to have the website running for the beginning of the Spring semester. In order to accomplish this goal, many of us had to start working on our parts during the Winter break. Others that had left to their home countries for the winter break, did not hesitate to offer their help in whatever was needed once they got back. We met regularly to discuss the website and exchanged ideas by e-mail. These women dedicated their time to get the website running without thinking about it twice. Thanks to these efforts, the current and prospective women in EECS have a place where they can find information on how to make the most of their careers and find a shoulder for support.
